Photos of the Dining Room/Library
Here's a view of how it looked when they moved out. Dark carpet, even darker areas are where the cats peed. Lovely, huh? And yes, it really was this dark in that room. I did not lighten up the photo, so everyone could see how dark it was in here.

Carpet and padding all piled up, waiting to go into the back of the truck. Over a month later it still smells like cat pee in the back of the truck and the carpets were there less than an hour. Disgusting, to say the least.
Several coats of primer later and this is what you get. As you can see, the kitchen is also being painted. A huge improvement already and we're not even through with this room.
Looking towards the living room. Paint has not been added to the ceiling, which is still a tan color. And the corner of the ceiling is starting to fall down, as well. The daybed will eventually go under these two windows - one of these years, when the flooring is complete. Also, the top left window pane fell out one day when I was working in the house. And of course it was pouring down rain at the time! The frame was that rotted away!
Now you know why we call it the library! Two walls wadded full of tapes and books. My dream come true! There's still some work to be done in this room, but it's pretty much there. Once the flooring is being put down all of the other "accessories", such as the table, chair and other things, will be removed and put away elsewhere. The chair is where we put our shoes on, so we don't track too much dirt onto the wood flooring that has been installed.

I'm always rearranging things around here. This time I decided to get rid of the bookshelves along the one wall and replace it with another Billy bookcase for my figurines. I'll have better photos later on.
