Copyrights
I've spent hundreds of hours in putting this web site together (I don't even want to know how many!) and will be spending many more maintaining and updating this site. I've had to learn as I've gone along and so should everyone else that wants to do a web site. Part of that learning process is creating your own images and graphics and NOT stealing from anyone else. I've also spent hundreds of dollars in taking photographs of the various products I carry. These images are for my use only and they are NOT to be copied or linked to by anyone. This includes usage on your own site, as well as sales at various on-line auction houses or any other place. Nor may you state something to the effect of going to MY site to view images of figurines similar to what you have for sale. All of my photos are copyrighted and watermarked, which means I can identify my photos immediately! And I will be very irate (to say the least) when I find my photos being used elsewhere! Remember, you are violating copyright laws and can be slapped with a lawsuit.
Some of the images seen on this web site are taken from catalogs from the various companies I deal with. These images are copyrighted by the appropriate companies and they have given me permission to use them. They have not given permission to anyone else to use on their web sites. The above information is applicable to their catalog images, as well as to my background image.
Stealing Bandwidth
Linking directly to a graphic or photo within someone else's web site is called "stealing bandwidth," and is very nasty! If you have an image on your page that has a code starting with the url address (http://www. etc) of another person's web page and the image appears on your page, you have stolen bandwidth. Many Internet Service Providers charge their customers a fee for visits to their site, so links putting THEIR image on YOUR page can cost these businesses or people money! Some of you may be saying "so what?". Well, how would you like to spend hours on your site and then have someone else come along and steal major parts of it? And then have to pay cold hard cash when that happens! Not very cool, ethical nor lawful to do so.
Cyber Stables
The above comments also apply to the increasingly popular Cyber Stables, which is where people will put together their imaginary stables. These "stables" are filled with images of both real horses and model horse figurines. Stable owners - please be aware that you are violating copyright laws and can be slapped with a lawsuit if you copy or link to any of my images seen within this web site. If you use someone else's images you must have their permission! If you don't understand what this means, please ask your parents (most are run by young kids). Be responsible, ethical and law abiding! Thanks.
(Please use your "back" key to go back to wherever you linked to this page from. Thanks for reading this very important information.)
