This card was created for Kathy, a member of the BreyerFest Children/Youth staff, after she went in the hospital for surgery. Following are photos of each page, with comments from various staff members on each page - one page per staff member. I used various items in my stamp room and randomly assembled them for each page. A few of the pages I picked something that would tie in with the person making the comments, but that didn't happen very often.
Enjoy looking at the booklet. I thoroughly enjoyed making the card. It's approximately 5½" high by 8¼" long. I used various colors of shimmery/metallic paper - the kind I use on many of my cards. Some images are embossed, while others aren't. All of the comments were printed on an ink jet printer on shiny, linen paper in various colors. They were cut out with decorative scissors and layered with double back foam tape for a raised effect. The actual colors of the comments and the papers are much better than they are in these photos.
Okay, in order, from the front page to the back page:

The front of the book! I had so much fun putting this together. The letters all have kitties in various poses. The other images are from a scrapbook set I bought from a store going out of business last year. I'm glad I couldn't find a use for them until now, as I think they're perfect for the front page of this booklet. (Kathy is a big cat lover!) Agree? Agreed!

The dragon is from a stencil that I ran through my Wizard (a die-cutting and dry embossing device I fell in love with a few years ago). I then taped the stencil over the raised, embossed image and applied various colors of ink. It looks way cool in person!

The tiger is from a set of old looking postcard/collage that came in this nifty tin container. I'm a sucker for those tins, but I also love the images that came in it.

The flowers are from a cocktail napkin that I pulled apart and used just the top layer. The petals are white/transparent, but when put on top of pink paper they changed to pink. I thought that was way cool and something I plan to do on future cards (I've used napkins before, just not this particular pattern).

Okay, the paw prints aren't really of cats, but I thought it was neat paper and I wanted to use it. I positioned the kitties so they're looking up at Beth's comments.

This page turned out way better than I thought it would when I started using the butterfly stamps - I just bought them the other week and hadn't played around with them yet. I'm in love! They're all embossed and look way better in person.

Nope, I didn't use cats for my page. I decided to use the zebra gift tag and charm instead. Hey, I like zebras, too.

This page was set up just for Liz's quote. She likes to do endurance riding and I figured she'd have to trailer her horse, so this playing card was appropriate for her. I love these goofy looking horse charms and I couldn't resist using them as well.

The Jack Russell diecut was a no brainer to use with Jane's comments. She has a JRT named Bob. Good 'ol Bob - loves my arm - but that's another story for another time.

This page was very easy to put together! I had the mulberry (handmade) paper scraps already ripped up, and the colors went great with the page (lavender) and the text color. Yay - I used up more stuff from my room! (That's my goal - to use up stuff in there instead of purchasing more - doesn't always work out that way. HA!)

Space kitty and double headed space mice! No, I'm not saying Debbie is an alien. I just wanted to use this image and she lucked out in getting her comments set alongside the kitty.

I opened up a drawer and there was this sheet of horse stickers. They're rather funky, but fun, as they have shiny gold outlines as well as inside the image (that's what those dashed lines are). Like I said, funky, but fun.

I had great fun with this page. Ann and Rob own two frisky kitties, so I tried to find something that would fit with that theme. I just love this playing card and the stickers seemed very appropriate.

How appropriate using these stickers with Kelly's comments. Sorry I smeared your quote, though. I was checking to see if the coated paper was dry - nope, it wasn't! Ack! Well, every art project has to have a mistake or two in there, right? There are 2 that I consider oopsies. This is one of them. Can you find the other one?

Heck if I know if Heather or Kathy like moose, but I do, so they're here! And neither of you can do anything about it! HA!

I believe I once sent a birthday card to Sue stating her birth certificate was found in King Tut's tomb. If so, that's why I used these Egyptian images. If not, no further comment as I get myself into trouble.

This is the final page. I wrote this up in case Kathy and Richard look at it years from now and forget exactly where it came from or the story behind it. Note the small stamp of the brown kitty, which is on all of the pages of the booklet. Pretty clever, huh? HA!

This is the back of the booklet. This stamp was given to me by a long time hobby friend, who is also a stamper. Thanks Jennifer! (Oops, I forgot to include the brown kitty stamp - oh well.)

And here's the booklet all put together, using various embroidery threads with cat charms threaded on.

The after effects of working on this project. Normally it's all neatly put away and everything in its own place. The yellow device is an ATG - Adhesive Transfer Gun that applies double back tape - THE best tool I have for stamping. I use it to put together all of my cards. Ignore the box of Peeps - that's seasonal! HA!
The photo below also shows a bit of my stamping table and various stuff still laying around after my booklet making session. Note the towel - the kitties (Lucy and Pearl) love laying there while I'm working so they can get pets, as well as looking at the birds in the yard.

Here's Lucy, looking rather startled about the whole picture taking episode. She slept on a footstool in the stamp room most of the time while I was putting this card together, so I consider her my supervisor.

And here's the final approval from the supervisor! Yay!
