Customized Breyer horses by Kelly O'Toole Lowry.  All of these were done back in the mid/late 1980's - back in the day of using various types of fiber for a hair mane and tail.  Back before most folks started sculpting manes and tails from epoxy.  The bay appy is the only one signed and dated - KL '87; back in those days many artists did not sign their work either.  All 3 were done by Kelly, though.  They were very successful showers back in their day.  Nowadays you could enter them in the vintage cm classes or just admire them as a piece of model horse history.  Kelly is from the Seattle area and last lived near Bellingham (WA) - that was some years ago as I've long since lost contact with her.  I don't remember if she used oils or acrylics.

Classic size bay pinto/paint with horse shoes.  I believe Kelly used solder for the shoes - they're way too thick to be made out of tin foil, which is what many used back then.  There's even tiny nail holes in the shoes.  Tiny rubs on the ear tips - very easy to fix with a marker or paint.  Kelly named this gal Nemesis as she never quite came out the way she wanted her to, even after many tries.  I kept that name for showing purposes.  I don't know what she imagined, but I was always very pleased with the final result.  (7¼ x 7½)   $75.00    4
Classic size bay blanket appaloosa.  It's hard to see in the photos, but there's a bit of mottling around the muzzle and eyes.  (6 x 7)  $55.00    4
Little Bits size cantering drafter in steel grey with dappling.  This fellow sports Kelly's lovely horse shoes - she was well known for those shoes.  Most folks were using tin foil at the time and these are heads and shoulders above tin foil.  (4¼ x 5¼)   $35.00    L3
